RECIPE
CAKE
Vanilla essence-1/2 teaspoon
Vinegar-1 tablespoon(I didn't have vinegar so I added lemon juice instead)
DRY INGREDIENTS
All purpose flour (Maida)-1 and 1/2 cup
Powdered sugar-1 cupCocoa powder-2 tablespoons
Baking powder-1 teaspoon
Baking soda-1/2 teaspoon
Coffee powder-1/2 tablespoon
♡ Sieve before mixing to prevent lumps
♡ Mix the wet and dry ingredients until no lumps are present...don't beat the batter too much or the cake will become hard
♡ The cake batter is now ready
♡ Grease your pan with butter and add a fine coating of maida before pouring the batter
♡ Preheat the Cooker to around 10 to 15 mins on a medium flame
♡ Place the pan inside and bake for around 30 to 40 mins (I added the weight to the cooker..I guess its fine if you don't)
CHOCOLATE GLAZE
🎇 Actually in a regular truffle cake they first make a ganache....cover the whole cake and then leave to set in the fridge for like an hour or more and only then pour the glaze..Buttttt I didn't have the patience and too much effort so I just used the glaze instead😁. The cake will nevertheless taste just as good.
Dark chocolate-100 g
Butter-50 g or so
Milk depending on the consistency you want
♡ Heat all the ingredients in the microwave, mix them and allow them to cool for a while
♡ Prepare a sugar syrup...which is basically a mix of equal quantity of sugar and water
♡ Slice the cake in half or three parts depending upon the height of your cake and soak the inside layers with a generous amount of sugar syrup and then add the glaze mixture to it
♡ Do the same for the top part of the cake...you can slice off the top part of the cake slightly if you want a flat top
♡ Finally pour the glaze over the cake and spread it evenly
♡ Set it to cool in the fridge before cutting
TOPPINGS
♡Just melt some white chocolate or milk chocolate or even dark chocolate according to your preference in the microwave and then either using a piping bag or a spoon just draw out the shape you want on a plate and put it in the fridge. It will set quite quickly(Around 2 to 3 minutes)
